Massachusetts Eversource

I have used Renaissance for one year and have also used a different supplier and National Grid directly, so I am comparing those experiences. I swapped to Renaissance when my existing contract expired. I was able to lock in a rate of ~$0.13 for a period of 13 months. As I approached the end of my 13 month contract, I emailed them to see what the rates would be because usually it changes to a variable amount and I would switch if it would cost me more. They offered me the option to lock-in for another year at basically the same rate, which is a no brainer as Massachusetts National Grid rates are 2-3x higher. They also told me that there is no cancellation or early termination fee, which is a huge plus, as when I canceled my previous plan early, they charged me $150. So far, I have had no problems with Renaissance and find their rates to be competitive, and their customer service is even better.

Renaissance Power & Gas has been great. When National Grid jacked their kWh electricity supply rate to .339 last Winter – I switched over to a significantly lower rate. In Spring, National Grid dropped their rate slightly below Renaissance Power & Gas rate – but at that point I had no interest in switching back given what National Grid did with their rate. That literal 3X increase over night was unacceptable and they don’t deserve my business ever again. Mid contract Renaissance Power and Gas was willing to lower my rate again for a new 14 month fixed term. They are responsive, have great customer service, no hidden fees and are extremely fair. I could care less if National Grid drops their fixed rate lower again, they have lost my business with their shenanigans playing with people’s incomes. I would recommend Renaissance Power & Gas to anyone as an alternate supplier. Great company!

Our rates with our towns selected provider were becoming insanely high and we started exploring for our own supplier, we did some research and found Renaissance had great reviews, great rates, and an easy way of switching over! The change has been simple and we noticed that savings with 1 month! Would definitely recommend.
